Late Check-out Fees: $25.00

Late check-out (after 11:00 AM and before 12:00 PM) may result in a fee.

Full refunds, minus the non-refundable 10% booking fee, will be given if the guest cancels 30 days before the start of their reservation date. Cancellations made with 29-15 days of the start of the reservation, will be charged at 50% of the booking total. Cancellations made with 14 days or less to the start of the stay will not be refunded. 

Responsible Party:

The Rental Applicant is considered to be the Lead Renter and will assume full responsibility for all guests throughout the rental period.

Cancellation Policy Additions:

No refunds for early departures or no-shows.

Access:

Guests shall allow Property Managers access to the suite for purposes of repair and required inspection. Property Managers shall exercise this right of access in cases of emergency. Guests will be notified when and if the suite was accessed.

Early Check In:

If the guest would like to check in before 4:00PM there may be a charge and it is subject to availability.

Late Check Out:

If the guest fails to vacate the suite by 11:00 AM on the departure date, a charge equal to one day’s rental may be applied to the card on file. If you wish to have a late check-out please call or text The Chalets on Lake Muskoka at least 24 hours before departure for availability. A  fee may be applied.

Pet Policy:

For the convenience of our guests domestic pets (cats and dogs) are permitted in most of our chalets and cottages. Pet rent is $50 per reservation per pet. Maximum 2pets. Our Lodge Suites do not accept pets.

Smoking:

Club Muskoka suites are 100% smoke-free of any kind. Absolutely no smoking or vaping is allowed in the suite. In this case of smoking in the suite, there will be an additional non-refundable cleaning fee of $200.00 plus tax charged to the credit card on file. Smoking is allowed on private decks only.

Air-conditioning:

Guests agree not to set the temperature lower than 23°C / 73°Fdegrees. When the AC is being used we request that all windows and doors be closed to reduce humidity and to save energy. Please turn off your air-conditioning when not in the unit.

Garbage and Recycling:

Garbage and recycling bins are available in the parking lot, behind our moveable wooden screens. To keep The Chalets on Lake Muskoka neat and tidy, do not place garbage or recycling bags outside because this will attract wildlife. We do return empties to the Beer Store and provide proceeds to local animal charities.

Swimming:

No lifeguard on duty, swim at your own risk. When using non-motorized watercraft, it is your responsibility to wear a provided life jacket and to bring an orange safety kit with you. The OPP patrols the lake and you will be fined if you are found in violation.

Parties:

While we encourage sharing life events at The Chalets on Lake Muskoka, we enforce the Municipal 11pm noise restrictions. Offensive language, loud/offensive music and public intoxication are not tolerated. Poor behaviour may lead to a non-refundable cancellation of your reservation.

Insurance:

The Chalets on Lake Muskoka and our agents do not accept responsibility for any loss of personal items while staying in the property or after departure. It is your responsibility to take out appropriate insurance to cover all aspects of your trip, and to ensure that passports, visas and other documents are in order. Keeping valuables in the suite is at your own risk, we accept no responsibility for lost or stolen property.

Damages:

After your check out, the Chalet's cleaning team will inspect the suite and notify the office of any damages to the Chalet made during your stay. The Chalets on Lake Muskoka will contact you via email about any damages that were found. We will provide a detailed list along with the amount that will be charged to the credit card on file. If you break something, please tell us so we can make plans for repair. Don't leave it for us, or the next guest to find.

Liability:

No claim can be made on the owners or managing agents for accidents, loss or injury (however caused). We strongly advise an all-inclusive holiday insurance cover. The owners or agents do not accept any liability or responsibility for any injury caused as a result of the use of our property, lakefront or communal areas or recreation activities. It is the responsibility of an adult member of the party, to ensure that children are always properly supervised throughout the property, including private decks and the play chalet. Children are not permitted in the lake area unattended. We will not be held responsible, nor provide a refund, if you are unable to find the resort, do not have the correct unit address, or did not bring the reservation confirmation with you. The guest is responsible to read and understand the Terms and Conditions. Guest is further obligated to abide by the terms set by The Chalets on Lake Muskoka, all their suppliers and the local authority. The traveler must not act in a manner that is of any nuisance for other travelers or neighbors, or that creates any security risk or practical problems for The Chalets on Lake Muskoka and its suppliers. The Chalets on Lake Muskoka and its suppliers reserve the right to reject a traveler if the traveler's behavior or condition is obvious that he or she cannot commit to the terms. This will not give the traveler any right to demand compensation.

Complaints:

Should you need anything during your stay, please contact us by phone or text, and give us the opportunity to assist you while staying with us. Letting us know after departure does not help you to fully enjoy your stay.

Please note:

Certain items are provided as a convenience to you and we make every effort to ensure operability prior to your arrival and during your stay. This may include items such as the internet, gaming systems, cable programs, telephones, etc. If a problem with one of these items should occur during your stay we will contact the provider immediately. These providers are outside vendors who operate on their own schedules and we cannot be responsible for any outage. These items are not compensable and no refunds will be granted for not having access.

Force Majeure:

No liability can be accepted, or refunds given for events, which are 'force majeure'. These include, but are not limited to war, threat of war, riots, civil commotion, terrorist activities, industrial disputes, technical difficulties with transportation, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, power outages or other events outside our control.

The Chalets on Lake Muskoka and Guest agree that the rent of the property is a transient accommodation (short-term rental) that follows all applicable laws governing public lodging establishments. Guest/credit card holder agrees with all rental terms, agrees to provide all required documents, and signs below electronically. Non-compliance of all requests above, will result in no access to the property. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate any guest without agreeing with full terms of our Rental Agreement, no exception.

The Responsible Party hereby certifies that all information given is true and complete to the best of my knowledge, and I fully understand and agree to follow all terms and conditions of this agreement.

The Responsible Party hereby certifies that they are of legal drinking age in the province of Ontario and that any consumption of supplied mini-bar items will be added to the credit card on file upon departure.
